The last job I led with an in-house team, before shifting focus to work with agencies.
Radio 2 is the largest radio station in Europe. There are 14 million listeners, which is roughly a quarter of the UK's population. As a mainstream music offer, it’s differentiator is the presenters, the majority of whom are household names.
The business put forward an impressive 88 page product requirement document, which I then interrogated using a method called mental modelling. This produced a map of the future service which helped us shape the site to the online behaviours of the target audience.
The design process began, offering the opportunity to interview all of the high profile presenters to catch the essence of their show personalities.
My role, challenge business requirements, design research, creative direction and the design brief, interface design, brand development, design co-ordination of an in-house team and multiple 3rd party suppliers.
