Over the last couple of years, Radio 4 have been renovating their major programme brands. The logos were developed independently by the Marketing teams working with Fallon. I then inherited their work to inspire the visual and interaction design of the set of sites.
The Archers is by far the biggest hitting of Radio 4's online properties. It is Britainís longest running soap, listened to by over 5 million people, with over 250,00 downloading the podcast every month and listening again online.
In Our Time, has an audience of over 1.5 million, is a serious discussion programme on the history of ideas. We made every episode of the programme available from the website as streaming audio, making it one of the first BBC programmes to have its entire archive released, as such provides a fantastic resource for students and academics.
Radio 4's magazine strands are Woman's Hour, Front Row and You & Yours, the purpose of redesigning these sites was to provide a suitable and reflective platform for catching up on missed programmes.
My role, creative direction and the design briefs, commissioning and agency selection, art direction and mentoring more junior staff transitioning from hands-on design to art direction and design management.
